Considered as one of the best fruits in the world, the strawberries can also be considered as one of the best fighters against cancer and other diseases. Their superpower capabilities is not noticed in recent years, historians say that the Romans used strawberries as a powerful nutrient for many things such as alleviating digestive problems, stomach aches, sunburn by rubbing strawberries all over the burned skin, bad breath, lightening dark spots on the teeth, to treat kidney diseases, liver diseases, blood diseases and reducing fevers.

Salicylic acids can also be found in strawberries which are able to stop headaches, treat dandruff and dermatitis. This acid represents a key component in aspirin, and many acne and toner medicine. The most common acid in every berry is resveratrol, the acid responsible for slowing the aging process. Vitamin C can also be found in strawberries, and it can do well in a fight against rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Apart from all the previous acids mentioned, strawberries contain high amounts of calcium, potassium, phosphorous and manganese. A single cup of strawberries contain around 46 calories and 2.9 grams of fiber. People with gall bladder diseases and kidney diseases should be cautious in eating strawberries as oxalate in them can crystallize in bodily fluids.

Strawberries are second on the list of fruits with ORAC value (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) by The USDA Human Nutrition Center. Their ORAC value is 1,540 per 100 grams. Scientists do believe that an intake of 2,000 to 5,000 units will be able enough to fight many types of cancer.
